Standard free shelf life of four types of food

  • Detail

From September 1, the labels on food packaging bags will have new provisions. In addition to indicating the origin of food, packager, warning instructions, minimum sales unit, etc., advertising words suspected of boasting the medicinal function of food, such as resolving phlegm, relieving cough, clearing heat and dispelling fire, have also become the prohibited scope of food packaging bag labels. At the same time, in terms of the provisions on the shelf life, the four categories of food, namely, beverage wine, vinegar, edible salt, and solid sugar that gradually cools and shapes the products, are pardoned, and the shelf life may not be marked. Recently, the provisions on the administration of food labeling promulgated by the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people's Republic of China will be formally implemented on September 1. According to the new regulations, the labels on food packaging bags must clearly indicate the production date and shelf life of food. If the shelf life of the food is related to the storage conditions, the specific storage conditions of the food shall also be marked. However, beverage wine, vinegar, edible salt and solid sugar with ethanol content of more than 10% (including 10%) can be exempted from labeling the shelf life. Those containing genetically modified raw materials must be indicated in Chinese. The provisions on the administration of food labeling are mandatory standards. If the manufacturer does not strictly comply with them, it will be fined up to 10000 yuan
