Current situation and development prospect of China's packaging and printing industry (4)

IV. development direction and focus

according to experts' prediction, China's entry into WTO will drive the development of China's packaging market

The 16th National Congress of the CPC Central Committee put forward the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way, which provides a broad market for the development of China's printing industry. At present, the total output value of the national packaging industry is nearly 200billion yuan, accounting for 2% of the gross national economic product (GDP). By 2020, calculated by quadrupling the gross national economic value, the national packaging industry output value will reach 600billion yuan, about 75billion dollars (equivalent to half of the output value of the U.S. printing industry in 2001, and the total value of foreign trade exports will reach 350billion dollars), In actual operation, the growth rate of the printing industry is faster than that of the national economy. Such a potential market is attracting the attention of more and more countries. After China's entry into WTO, with the reduction and even gradual elimination of China's tariff wall, more and more foreign businessmen enter the country to invest and build factories and carry out localized production. High-quality and low-cost goods are bound to win domestic consumers, which will have an impact on domestic products and markets, and make the competition in China's packaging market increasingly fierce

the four pillars of modern packaging industry -- paper, plastic, glass, metal, etc. among these four kinds of packaging materials, paper products have the fastest growth, and the sources of raw materials are also extensive. They are not as fragile as glass, nor as heavy as metal, so they are easy to carry, and they will not have so many environmental problems as plastic. Therefore, paper packaging is widely used in daily life, and is considered to be the most promising and potential packaging material. The International Health Organization and domestic environmental protection experts believe that non-toxic and harmless "all paper environmental protection bags" must be used for shopping in the future. For this purpose

(1) packaging and printing products should actively develop in the direction of medium, high-grade, diversified and multicolor; Develop in the direction of easy transportation and storage

(II) continue to vigorously develop paper-based packaging and printing products. Paper products packaging focuses on developing high-grade cartons and cartons with low gram weight, high strength and light weight, eliminating low-grade cartons and cartons, changing the material structure, and developing towards gift oriented, high-grade and medium-sized packaging color; We will actively develop all kinds of color paper laminations, cartons, all kinds of windowed packaging prints, as well as color E-type, F, G-type fine corrugated cartons, new paper containers, color printing cartons, die cutting cartons, etc

for example, with the emergence of G-type corrugated paper, a good alternative to lamination has emerged. G-type corrugated paper, which can be printed directly on the offset press. Its strength is higher (bending stiffness, rupture strength, compression resistance). G-type corrugated paper can better meet the three basic requirements of light weight, good stability and beautiful appearance for packaging processing. Another advantage is that if offset printing is used, the printing plate cost is reduced, especially suitable for short version live printing

(III) adapt to the development of dairy, beverage, food, medicine, small household appliances and other industries. Actively develop the production of paper products of roof bags, Kangmei bags, Tetra Pak bags and folding cartons

taking the dairy industry as an example, some data show that the output of dairy products in China almost doubled in the four years from 1998 to 2001. According to the express report of the National Bureau of statistics, the output ratio of dairy products in 2002 was about 0 3% increased by 25.6% last year, and the output of liquid milk reached an astonishing 65.8%. It should be said that China's dairy industry has entered a golden period of development, and has become one of the fastest growing and best growing industries in China's instrument industry. According to the plan of the Ministry of agriculture, China's total milk output will grow from 10.25 million tons in 2001 to 64 million tons in 2030. Even so, the per capita milk share is still very low, currently only 8.79 kg. Less than one tenth of the world average of 107 kg. In 2030, China's milk consumption was only 40 kg/person, far behind the current 300 kg/person in dairy developed countries and 80 kg/person in the international per capita consumption. China's urban residents' consumption of dairy products also fell far behind the international standard

taking beverages as an example, in 2003, the production of various beverages reached more than 20 million tons, more than three times that of 4.85 million tons in 1993, ranking second in the world (the annual output of the United States was 90 million tons, ranking first in the world). Among them, there are 8 series of fruit juice products with more than 200 varieties. In 2002, 370000 tons were produced, and the sales volume was 1.817 billion yuan. For example, Huiyuan Group, established in 1992, has developed to 18 factories producing fruit juice in 10 years, has 88 independent sales agencies, and has begun to build orchards as raw material production bases. It imports more than 80 fruit juice canning production lines from the United States and Italy. The first one in China spent more than 15 million US dollars to introduce a sterile plastic bottle packaging production line

take Tetra Pak as an example. In 1984, the national sales volume was 100million, but at present, the output of the three companies in the country has reached 10billion (of which, Beijing established a factory with an annual output of 2billion in 1987, Foshan established a factory with an annual output of 4billion in 1992, and Kunshan established a factory with an annual output of 4billion in 1996). With the improvement of people's living standards, the benefits of products in the market are good. At present, both Beijing and Kunshan plan to expand. Beijing plans to expand the production capacity of the development zone to 10billion, and Kunshan also plans to expand to 10billion. Nevertheless, the per capita consumption of Japan and Taiwan is dozens of times that of China

the above situation shows that in China's packaging and printing market, the roof bags, Kangmei bags and Zhengfang Xingmo AI used in fresh milk and fruit juice have huge business opportunities

(IV) vigorously develop plastic packaging, especially gravure and flexographic plastic flexible packaging

among the four major packaging materials of paper, plastic, glass and metal, paper and plastic packaging have been widely used because of their low prices. Paper and plastic are the two most widely used materials in the packaging industry and will coexist for a long time

food, drugs (there are more than 6000 pharmaceutical enterprises in China, with annual sales of 120billion yuan), health products, dairy products, cosmetics, washing supplies, etc. are the largest users of plastic flexible packaging, and have great development potential. It can be said that plastic flexible packaging is playing an increasingly important role in many fields. For example: (1) convenience food, (2) candy, (3) dairy products (solid milk powder, liquid milk), (4) beverages and Baijiu, (5) grain, (6) condiments, (7) meat, aquatic products and cans, (8) vapor phase rust proof flexible packaging film, (9) flexible packaging infusion bag, (10) daily chemical products, (11) pet food, (12) water-soluble film, (13) drugs, (14) plastic labels, (15) other markets

at present, the development status of plastic packaging products in the world has the following characteristics: (1) new polyester packaging has a better future; (2) New degradable plastics are concerned; (3) Foamed plastics are moving towards zero pollution

the development of domestic plastic flexible packaging should focus on the following aspects, using the traditional hydroponic growth system and nutrient liquid membrane technology (NFT)

1. Development and application of high barrier packaging materials such as high barrier coextrusion composite film to improve protection performance and prolong shelf life

2. Development and application of sterile packaging materials, antibacterial packaging films and radiation resistant packaging films

3. Heat resistant packaging materials suitable for electromagnetic cookers and microwave ovens

4. Controllable modified atmosphere packaging of packaging materials suitable for the storage of agricultural products such as grain

5. Composite film for electromagnetic shielding

while actively developing plastic packaging, we should also vigorously adopt new plastic packaging technologies. At present, the popular packaging technologies abroad include: vacuum packaging (760m/hg), 100 ℃ sterilization, pe/pet, pa/eva and other packaging of cooked food products; Inflatable packaging (CO2, O2, N2 ethanol gas) uses a lot of class 1, which is mainly used for precision experimental machines in food packaging; Modified atmosphere packaging is used to package fish products; Body fitted packaging is used to replace PE and PVC films with ionic films; Fresh keeping packaging: fresh fruits and vegetables with breathing regularity are packaged with microporous breathable film, silicon film, etc; Sterilization packaging: high temperature for a short time, ultra-high temperature instantaneous heating to kill polluting bacteria, pasteurization packaging drinks; Aseptic packaging, non polluting bacteria packaging, fruit juice and other beverages; Sterilization packaging adopts ionic film, disinfects with epoxy ethylene gas, and packages medical instruments; Blister packaging is mainly used for tablet packaging; Antirust packaging add antirust agent in the film to package precision instruments; Stretch wrapping is mainly wrapped in unit packaging (pallet, pallet, etc.); Heat shrinkable packaging is mainly used for small parts packaging; Mold proof packaging: add mold proof agent to the film to package the fabric; Compressed packaging mainly includes light cotton padded clothes, down, etc; Shock proof and buffer packaging adopts flexible polyurethane, PVC, foamed PE, PP, LLDPE, ionic polymer and other packaging materials

but no matter which kind of plastic packaging is used, the requirements of green packaging must be met:

(1) reduce waste pollution; (2) Solve the environmental protection problems of solvents; (3) Recycling

(V) actively develop anti-counterfeiting packaging and printing

over the past two decades of reform and opening up, with the gradual formation of the socialist market economy, market competition has become increasingly fierce. The emergence of a large number of famous and high-quality products and best-selling products has activated the market, prospered the economy, and constantly met the needs of people and material life. At the same time, the high popularity, high market share and high efficiency of famous brand products have made some profit hungry and outlaws engage in illegal activities of making and selling fake goods. A large number of fake and shoddy products flooded the market, involving the trademarks, logos and packaging of a large number of products. In recent years, the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine and local quality and technical supervision departments have conducted a comprehensive investigation on the whole market and found that fake and inferior products have been banned repeatedly. According to the figures provided by the State Administration, 240000 cases of making and selling counterfeit goods were investigated and dealt with nationwide in 2003, which is also a year with a large increase in recent years. In addition, the problem of food pollution is also quite serious, and the problems of food quality and safety and the abuse of food labels are also increasingly prominent

the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people's Republic of China stipulates that from the third quarter of 2003, 10 categories of food, including meat products, dairy products, beverages, condiments, frozen food, instant noodles, biscuits, cans, quick-frozen noodles and rice food, and puffed food, will begin to implement the market access system, and the QS mark must be affixed before leaving the factory, otherwise, they are not allowed to leave the factory and enter the circulation field for sale

in addition, the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people's Republic of China also stipulates that 132 commodities in 19 categories (involving electronics, household appliances, air conditioners and other products) in the country should be subject to compulsory certification (i.e. 3c:china compulsory certification), which will be implemented from August 1, 2003. Those without 3C compulsory certification mark are not allowed to leave the factory or enter the circulation field for sale. In 2004, the certification field will be expanded, including full juice wine, feed, information products, wireless local area products, interior decoration materials, etc. Promote the "green" market certification of sporting goods, facilities and food. By 2005, all the 28 categories and 550 products of food in China will be certified

the above situation shows that the development of anti-counterfeiting technology and the formation of anti-counterfeiting industry in China are the needs of developing the socialist market, developing foreign trade, and promoting China's goods to the international market, as well as the current needs of cracking down on counterfeits, treating the inferior, purifying the market, protecting famous and excellent products, and safeguarding the interests of national enterprises and consumers

all these provide business opportunities for packaging and printing enterprises. Therefore, we should actively adopt various anti-counterfeiting technologies and print various anti-counterfeiting labels, trademarks and anti-counterfeiting packaging according to market demand

(VI) vigorously develop honeycomb paperboard products to replace
